Kiva is just like home. The food is the best part.
I was afraid moving to an assisted living facility would limit what I could do, but at Kiva anything is doable!
The staff is marvelous. They cater to your every need.
I truly enjoy living here. My family is able to visit me and I am still able to do the things I enjoy.
My mother passed just 2 days ago and my first thought this morning was not sadness but gratitude for Kiva & Cindy Digman & her staff. Cindy & team not only cared for Mom but were also a coach/advisor and even friend to our father as he trusted Mom into Kiva’s care. I credit Kiva not only for giving Mom the best possible love & care in her final year but also for giving Dad his life back. And as Dad navigated and processed moving Mom into memory care, Cindy was on his speed dial to support him whenever he needed. But that is not the exception – It should say a lot that she even puts her cell phone number on the website
This was my second go around with a loved one in memory care and I’ve been in beautiful, fancy facilities where just getting regular bathing was a challenge. With Kiva, it is so much more personal and it just felt like Mom was staying with extended family. I got to meet Cindy before we put Mom in her care and I could tell she not only had the experience, expertise, and rare blend of warmth & toughness to care for Mom but that she takes great pride in her team and treats her long-tenured staff as family.
It is difficult watching your loved one decline from Alzheimer’s, but one of the bright spots was Kiva. Mom had an inner joy and happiness and a love for dancing that they embraced and nurtured and I am just so very grateful that Dad found the perfect home for Mom’s final days.
